Choral Extravaganza with Orchestra and Choir

Conducted by Kutlwano Masote, Nelson Mandela University Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, performs music by Schubert, Verdi, Handel, Khumalo, and Sibisi on 29 February 2024 at South Campus Auditorium.

Enriching the orchestral forces will be the Gqeberha Community Choir, under the guidance of celebrated baritone, Njabulo Mthimkhulu, and soloists from the Department of Music and Performing Arts’ vocal studio, including Afika Gwam (tenor), Ntsikelelo Mali (baritone), Edward Mqubuli (bass), Luleka Mabaso (soprano), and Sinentlahla Ndala (soprano).

Choral Extravaganza will also feature a guest appearance of the Mandela University Brass Ensemble, directed by George Foster.
