Feather Market Organ Society Concert

Local organ virtuoso, CISKA RANGE, will perform in the Feather Market on 15th August. She made her debut there with great success at the 2018 Christmas Concert.
Also taking part will be the brilliant Girls Choir of Cologne Cathedral, Germany, replacing the NMU Choir who unfortunately had to withdraw, and the viola player, Elmarie van der Vyver. Be prepared for an excellent concert Thursday.
Ciska obtained het M.Mus degree in Organ Performance cum laude at NMU. She also won prizes in various competitions and undertook advanced organ studies in 2001/2002 in the Netherlands. She was Head of Music for six years at the Helpmekaar College in Johannesburg where she took part in many concerts, amongst others with the UJ Choir. In 2017 she and her husband and three children moved back to Port Elizabeth where she now teaches piano at Collegiate Girls’ High School.
She will play Andriessen’s Sonata da Chiesa, Bach’s Arioso and an extract from Bizet’s poular L’Arlésienne Suite. Together with viola player, Elmarie van der Vyver, Ciska will give the first performance in PE of a very attractive work – Fantasi by Yngve Sköld.
