Nelson Mandela University presents : Soirée Musicale with Albert Troskie and Friends
You will hear Prof Troskie as organ soloist, and as part of various combinations, including a piano-organ duet with myself. Together they will perform an arrangement of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. I will also fly solo in my performance of the well- known second Scherzo by Chopin.
You will hear Violinist, David Bester as soloist with piano, organ, as well as conductor of the Nelson Mandela University String Ensemble (NMUSE).
Tania Leurquain-Steyn (trumpet), Andre Visser (oboe), counter tenor Olesegun Soyemi and Erika Bothma (piano) will join the NMU Strings Ensemble and organ in gems of the Classical genre, like the Adagio from the Oboe Concerto by Marcello, Te Deum for Trumpet and Organ by Charpentier, as well as the Adagio for violin, organ and strings by Albinoni.
Junita Lamprecht- Van Dijk and the NMU Choir will also perform in the Soiree.
The concert will end with a big ensemble finale not to be missed!
You are welcome to take along a cushion for the seat!
Manna Delights (sweet eats) will be available so please remember to bring some extra cash!
