Each spring, the 600-hectare Van Stadens Wildflower Reserve becomes a vibrant showcase of wild blooms. This year’s Flower Festival promises captivating highlights for flower lovers, families, and adventure seekers.

Indigenous Plant Sale:

Discover and purchase unique indigenous plants from the region at our Annual Indigenous Plant Sale, all while basking in the beauty of the Wildflower Reserve. Starts 7:00am. Cash and cards accepted.

Guided Hikes and Tuk Tuk Tours:

Explore the wonders of the reserve through a guided hike or Tuk Tuk Tour. Various guided hikes that include kids hikes, Medicinal 3 Dam Trail hikes, and Fynbos Nymph Trail hikes.

Live entertainment and interactive wildlife talks:

Experience the perfect blend of rhythm and nature with electrifying live music, cultural dances, captivating wildlife talks, and thrilling interactive demonstrations! Discover unique local handmade treasures on sale from various craft stalls!

Picnic With Us

Relax with a picnic—bring your blankets and baskets of treats to savour the tranquil surroundings of the Nursery and Reserve. Enjoy a spread of food and refreshments from various Food Trucks and including a specially-brewed Flower Festival beer!  Picnic baskets are also available on pre-order for a Bird Hide picnic.
