STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
    

Stakeholder relationships:
    
Managing the relationships of all stakeholders to ensure there are congruent and collaborative efforts for the development of the City and surrounding areas.

It is imperative to our success that we form solid relationships with the various stakeholders in NMB as our efforts require the support of industry and the private sector.


Marketing:     
Have a focused approach to targeted marketing that is measurable.  This relates to media, events, shows, PR, social media, etc. The objective is to retain and build our membership with value added offerings.

Develop an appropriate marketing plan to penetrate these markets.

Identify new and emerging markets according to the new trends and travelling patterns.


Research:     
Develop a research methodology that extracts, populates and disseminates relevant information in order to build the NMB brand.

The organisation needs to be a source of intelligence for the industry locally.

Gather meaningful statistics to inform our marketing strategies as well as become a resource to the industry in cases where business confidence information is required.

Quantify the value of tourism in NMB (value of bed nights and spend per tourist per day) and be able to determine its contribution to the GDP.


Fundraising through stakeholder relations:     
Due to the financial requirements of the organisation, we need to focus on alternative revenue streams. This is necessary for sustainability as well as to increase our brand visibility in the market place so as to maintain and increase our market share.
