The group was founded in 1964 by Joseph Shabalala. Ladysmith Black Mambazo has won more Grammy Awards than any other person or group from the continent of Africa by Winning Three Grammys and with fifteen nominations this is testimony to the journey they have travelled from the successful spell with Paul Simons with the Graceland Tour in the 1980’s to a string of collaborations with an envious list of successful and world renown artists.
Opening for Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be the award winning Eastern Sounds Chorale, formerly Transnet Port Choir conducted by Dr Makhaya Mjana and Legato.
