AUSSIE: THE AUSTRALIAN CIRCUS SPECTACULAR COMES TO THE BAY IN FEBRUARY

Port Elizabeth is on the nationwide tour route for AUSSIE – The Australian Circus Spectacular when it comes to South Africa in 2016. After its first stop in Cape Town, the show ventures to The Boardwalk where the talented, daring and slightly insane performers will dazzle local audiences with unbelievable feats from 26 February to 6 March 2016.

AUSSIE: The Australian Circus Spectacular is a modern and exclusively human, feel-good circus spectacular that blends stunning cirque style acrobatics, hilarious vaudevillian antics and extreme, high octane stunts. The executive producer of the show is Cape Town-born Sebastian Cassie.

This is the first time that AUSSIE – the Australian Circus Spectacular has visited foreign soil, and it promises to leave audiences in awe with the cast performing unbelievable feats.  Highlights of the show include one of the world’s few surviving human cannonball acts performed by an expert stuntman Luiz Daza who has literally flown over audiences seven days a week during the sell-out run of the Great Euro Circus in Australia.

Audiences will also marvel at the dizzying Globe of Death act which features up to five motorbike riders circling a daring dancer with Mad Max style bravado before the sphere splits in half, and thrilling freestyle motor cross stunts during which riders reach gut-wrenching heights.

Between these breathtaking and death-defying stunts, a troupe of talented and equally daring AUSSIES will perform amazing feats of human endurance, skill and strength. From the Queen of the Silks, Kiarnna; vaudevillian performer and slapstick comedian, Val De Fun, the illusion of the salsa-dancing quick-change act, to the duo pole performance by Edison and Giselle, audiences will be mesmerized from start to finish.

AUSSIE: The Australian Circus Spectacular, produced by the same company responsible for the acclaimed Great Moscow Circus and Great Euro Circus, will tour South Africa thrilling audiences at Sun International venues across the country until late May 2016.

Tickets will soon be on sale at Computicket. Tickets for the show at The Boardwalk’s Festival Lawns range in price from R200 for adults, and from R150 for children under 14.
