FUN HOLIDAY PROGRAMME AT ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK

What better way to kick off the December school holidays than with a fun-filled, jam-packed, eight day holiday programme at Addo Elephant National Park (AENP)?  Well, that’s exactly what’s in store for not only overnight guests, but day visitors alike, kicking off on Monday 5 December until 14 December.

The Park’s People and Conservation staff members have prepared eight days of excitement to keep youngsters between the ages of seven and 18 entertained daily between 10AM and 3PM.  They’ll be having so much fun that they won’t even realise they’re learning about nature at the same time!

Activities include scavenger hunts, arts and crafts sessions, getting to know the Park, movies, storytelling and a whole lot more!  Most of the activities are free of charge, with the only fees payable for day visitors being the conservation fees at the gate.  Game drives, which are also on the programme on certain days, are offered at a reduced rate, at only R60 per child (only for the children).  The final day’s programme will take the form of a Kiddies Christmas Party – where parents are requested to bring along a small gift for their child.

Please note that some of the activities on the programme may be cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.  No children under the age of seven years will be allowed to participate without an adult present.  Parents should ensure that their children bring lunch packs and bottled water, a hat and comfortable walking shoes.

Space is limited, so booking is essential.  For further information on the programme, or to book, please contact People and Conservation Officer, Miranda Moraba on 042 233 8658 or miranda.moraba@sanparks.org.
