GAMBLE CONTINUE SERIES DOMINATION

Another perfect winters evening greeted over 50 teams for the as Tuesday of the month Town Lodge Business Night Relay hosted at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium with Gamble Pharmacy putting on the heat and securing yet another comfortable victory in a new course record.

Crossing the line in 57 minutes and 56 seconds, the all male team from Gamble Pharmacy continued their domination of the Night Relay Series which they've enjoyed since inception of the event in 2011. Some two minutes ahead of the company sponsored mixed team, these teams are certainly enjoying the shorter more secure route used for the Night Relay this year. SPAR DC Eastern Cape placed 2nd again in the Men's Category ahead of the fast improving team from Rooftop Productions who climbed onto the podium for the first time this season. NMC Mixed team also enjoyed some podium time this round with a well deserved 2nd place in the mixed category with Jaytee Trading placing 3rd. NOV won the ladies category with Harvest Christian School teachers in 2nd place and Hoerskool Cillie teachers in 3rd place.

Over the year's there's been one stand-out walking team headed by Andre Pienaar and JC Stevens, this social walking team from Bluewater Bay claimed their 10th consecutive win of the Business Night Relay on Tuesday evening. Now competing under the colours of Herbalife, the walkers finished in a time of 1 hour 15 minutes with JFK Properties in 2nd place and Afriboom walkers in 3rd place.

"It was another amazing winter's evening on Tuesday evening and we can't believe how blessed we've been this season for the Town Lodge Series," said race director Mike Zoetmulder of Zsports Events NPC. "It's always great to see the companies coming out and having fun and where better than our iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium."

The Town Lodge Business Night Relay is a unique fun social team building event for local companies, sports clubs and social teams and takes place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on the last Tuesday of the month from May through to August. The event is open to running teams comprising of 5 persons or walking teams of 3 with each participant completing a 3.5km lap within the stadium precinct. The 30th August offers companies the last opportunity to take part in the Series.
