NMBT launches suggested itineraries
Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism (NMBT) has heeded the call from tourists and tour operators alike and developed a number of suggested itineraries for visitors to Nelson Mandela Bay to make use of.
Various one day itineraries have been drafted, each with three featured activities, one for the morning, afternoon and evening. The itineraries are aimed at self drive tourists who are looking for a ‘guide’ on what to do in the Bay, and at tour guides and operators who can make use of the itineraries to plan guided tours.
The itineraries are very flexible, allowing for visitors to visit the attractions in their own time. Some of the activities featured on the itineraries include nature walks, boat cruises and township tours among others. NMBT have categorised the itineraries in order to make things easier for visitors.
Visitors will be able to develop their own holiday itineraries by matching together various activities from different itineraries. The itineraries act simply as a guide for visitors and allows them the opportunity to mix and match activities and days as they see fit. The aim is to encourage tourists to spend a little more time in the Bay.
“We wanted to give tourists a guide that was flexible and accommodating to ensure that we cater for their needs while marketing Nelson Mandela Bay and all it has to offer a in tangible and user friendly way” said Fezekile Tshiwula, CEO of NMBT.
