RHINO VISITS NELSON MANDELA BAY DONKIN RESERVE

Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism CEO, Ms Mandlakazi Skefile took special time out to visit the Rhino at the Donkin Reserve on Wednesday, 25 June 2014. In an attempt to raise awareness about the plight of the rhino, Addo Elephant National Park’s Honorary Rangers had a life-sized replica of a rhino on display at the city’s iconic landmark.

Honorary Rangers Chairperson, Clive Gibson, shared “Sadly over 400 Rhino’s have been poached since the beginning of 2014 already and therefore it is so important for us to unite against the attacks on our wildlife.”

On Thursday, the replica animal will be transported to Kirkwood, where it will spend the weekend at the Honorary Ranger’s exhibition stand at the Absa Kirkwood Wildsfees for those that were not able to go to the Donkin.
