ABSA Currie Cup 1st Divison Final: EP Kings vs. Pumas
Another day…..and another look at the history books, and what have we discovered?

We’ve found that Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is set to witness yet another first, this coming Saturday, when the EP Kings host the Pumas in the 2012 Absa Currie Cup 1st Division final.
Yes, that’s right. EP have never contested a Currie Cup Final (whether Premier or First Division), in Port Elizabeth before. So once again our iconic stadium is the venue for the rewriting of a page in the history books of Port Elizabeth sport in general, and rugby in particular.

In 2010 the Kings beat the SWD Eagles (16-12) in the 1st Division final in George, and then last year unfortunately lost the title to the Boland Kavaliers (43-12) in Wellington. This year we look forward with great anticipation to the possibility of hosting a memorable victory, with the trophy returning to Port Elizabeth for another year.

To make it possible for EP Kings fans to be part of this history-making event, tickets are on sale at the rock-bottom price of R30 for adults and R10 for children (12 and under). And if you happen to be among the first 3 500 people to buy tickets for the final, you will get a complimentary ticket for every one that you purchase. Think of it this way. That will mean that you pay a meagre R15 per ticket to watch a history-making final and hopefully see our team – the EP Kings – be crowned as Absa Currie Cup 1st Division Champions for 2012.

Great value for a great opportunity!
