Guitar Hero... ALBERT FROST ...back to rock & inspire... Thu 18 Nov... 65pp He recently presented his first guitar workshop in Port Elizabeth and budding guitarists and fans are begged for more from this muso, Albert Frost! So due to public demand will be back this Thursday night, 18 November to share his critically acclaimed skill as a guitarist in person in the bay once again, this time with further focus on certain skills. Albert says, “I have been playing for 20 years now and I think it is time to share some little tidbits of what I have learnt and what has helped me over the years. There are so many guitarists out there who want to get closer to other musicians to interact with them musically as well as on a personal level. It is great to meet these like-minded souls and to share a love of the instrument and the music in a laid-back relaxing atmosphere.” SHOW: The legendary South African blues and rock guitarist, Albert Frost, will also be performing live at The Chaplin at 8PM after the workshop which discerning music lovers can delight in. Albert will perform songs from his new album including the song, Television which won him the Dorito’s Be Heard Competition last year as well as his favourite covers by famous Blues and Rock legends. WORKSHOP: Before the show, at 6PM, Albert will present a 45 minute workshop aimed at all playing levels and will cover various styles and techniques and inspire all guitarists to take their playing to new creative heights. “The music could speak volumes more, but the man, Albert Frost is a veritable living legend at 30 and fondly dubbed “SA’s best blues guitarist” by way too many people to be denied a bit of hero worship” – Jess Mitrani – Levi’s Music Mag 2008 Tickets are R65 and include both the workshop at 6pm and the show at 8pm.
