Amandla Music for Tolerance Respect and Peace
The program "Amandla Music Against Discrimination" offers a broad platform that musically takes you to different cultures.
The music is intended to spread a message of love, peace and harmony. AMANDLA is committed to fighting racism and all forms of discrimination.
In March 2019, the first event of "Amandla" took place in Osnabrück, which was very well received.
The upcoming event on December 11, 2021 at 8:30 p.m. will take the form of a virtual concert in which artists with a migration background and refugees will play music together with German musicians.
The performances will be recorded in front of a small audience.
Therefore, as part of the cultural exchange, the event will be extended using an online platform.
This year's performers include Harambee Live, Cliff Barnes and The Fear of Winning (Germany), Ozan Tunc (Turkey), Visa Band (Syria), Nomabotwe and PoeticSoul (South Africa). This project is supported by the city of Osnabrück as part of the kulturmarathon program together for Osnabrück.
There is also a collaboration with the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) in Gqeberha, South Africa.
