The South African National Defence Force are in the region celebrating Armed Forces Day. The celebrations commence on 13 February 2016:

13 - 14 (15& 16) February: SA Navy ships open for public viewing, P.E. Harbour Jetty No 2. 15 & 16 are reserved for bookings.

15 February: Community Band Concerts
(SA Air Force, SA Navy and SA Military Health Service Bands)

17 - 21 February: Career Expo, Kings Beach,

18 February: Night Shooting Demonstrations at Kings Beach,

21 February: Parade, Air Capability Demonstration
