19 October 2012 - 19 October 2012
Introduced to Port Elizabeth audiences during this year’s Algoa FM Concert in the Park, award winning British saxophonist, Andrew Young is coming back to Port Elizabeth with his show which has been a sell-out in Europe.
Andrew Young - “I’m from Liverpool” - A Tribute to the music of The Beatles is being staged at The Boardwalk Vodacom Amphitheater for one night only in October.
Through music, film, pictures and anecdotes Andrew and his Band take the audience through his life in Liverpool and play the songs that have influenced him and a generation of musicians.
They include songs such as “Hey Jude”, “Imagine”, Yesterday”, “I saw her standing there” after “a hard day’s night”, on “The Long and winding Road”, to “Strawberry Fields” among other famous songs by the Beatles featuring in the tribute.
Torn between his two passions- a career in football or a career in music, Andrew, fortunately chose music.
But, not forgetting football, Andrew brought his two passions together with the performance of the Liverpool FC Anthem, You’ll Never walk Alone.
Andrew and his band will be entertaining The Boardwalk guests on October 19 from eight in the evening.
Tickets are now available from Computicket for R150.00 per person.
