Nelson Mandela Bay, May 14, 2019 – Friends of Bayworld (FOB) and Algoa Caledonian Pipe Band with the assistance of Magnetic Storm, Spar Eastern Cape, Omega Risk Solution & Relay Emergency Services, undertake to once again host their very successful Night at the Museum event at Bayworld.

The 6th instalment will be held on the 7th of June 2019, starting at 18H00 till 22H00 and the 8th of June 2019, starting from 16H00 till 20H00. Tickets will be sold at R 35 per ticket before the event (Early Bird) as well as R 50 per ticket at the gate. Children 2 years & younger will gain free entry. 2500 tickets will be made available (1250 per night).

Bayworld will be closed during both days for preparations. Tickets are available from Bayworld, FotoFirst (Summerstrand Village), Angelic Enchantments (Lower Valley Road), La Rochelle (Despatch), Just Vintage Antiques (Newton Park), Ray’s Dance Studio, Algoa Caledonian Pipe Band, SANCCOB EC & Zwartkops Conservancy.

The theme for dress up for this year is an Alien Invasion at Bayworld and there will be a dress-up competition for NATM6, which will be judged by CON.ECT cosplayers as well as Ray from Ray’s Dance Studio.

This two -day event is a proud Friends of Bayworld (FOB) calendar event and aims to bring the whole family together by offering a variety of activities. “I am so proud at how the NATM keeps on succeeding over the years and how it affords the whole family to go out together and enjoy a night out on the town” said Anelle Bailey an FOB representative and organizer of the event. The NATM 6 will offer the following activities for the people of the Nelson Mandela Bay:
• Dress -up Competition in the EEC
• Treasure Hunt by torch light in the Museum
• Dress up corner in the Costume gallery & Photo Opportunity
• Snake Interaction
• Dance performances by the Ray Dance Studio, Defying Gravity & Izilo Zakwantu Entertainment
• Performances from Algoa Caledonian Pipe Band

Last year thousands of people braved out the cold and rainy Friday evening and attended this spectacular event which saw some people dressing up as Historical figures and some adorned in their traditional regalia. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the treasure hunt as well as the robotic dinosaur exhibition which saw them quite intrigued and entertained. In true Bayworld style we will also bring out our lovely slithering snakes to come and interact with the masses. Food and drinks will be sold
even though a picnic is optional which will see folks gathered around the bonfire and connecting over their delectable treats.

The event is aimed at raising funds for the benefit of Bayworld and all the programmes we have to educate and create awareness about how to preserve & conserve our natural and cultural history. At the Night At the Museum 5 a whopping R91 000.00 was made which then assists on the upkeep of the complex.
