Beauty of Africa Solo Exhibition

Roseland Florence Williams, known as Ros by her family and friends, was born and educated in Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. She married a game ranger and they settled in Wangi National Park where she was exposed to the wonderful adventures of the African bush and all its wild inhabitants. Her love for African wildlife and culture has had a profound influence on the subjects she paints also seen in her colour pallet.
Later, Ros settled in Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where a lot of her later work is inspired from. In particular we see this influence in her fluid use of lines and also subjects such as coastal and sea-life.
Recently, Ros has been very fortunate to travel extensively drawing inspiration around the smaller towns and country sides of England.
Over the years, Ros has attended many courses and now she too is able to share what she has learned in the form of art classes. She has also made valuable contributions to local communities in running creative workshops for retirement homes and orphanages.
