Belting Babes and Funky Dudes Ft Centrestage

Centrestage presents their latest explosive production "Belting Babes and Funky Dudes", paying tribute to four of today’s iconic superstars: Meghan Trainor, P!nk, Bruno Mars and Pitbull.

 

The show is fronted by Centrestage stalwarts Tara-Jane Stern and Thuba Myeki and introduces newcomers Cailan Van Heerden and Tiffany East – along with ace choreographer Tilette Roelofse, who also joins the dancing troupe.

 

Meghan Trainor's fun, upbeat pop with a retro vibe features nostalgic elements of doo-wop, whilst P!nk's anthemic sound is characterized by powerful vocals and empowering lyrics and has been a constant presence on the charts for over 20 years.

 

Bruno Mars has been influential in the revival of funk and R&B sounds in popular music, characterized by infectious hooks and smooth vocals which often also incorporate throwback elements.

 

Pitbull is a Latin artist known for his energetic, festive dance-pop music incorporating elements of reggaeton, hip-hop, and EDM.

 

Current charting songs by the likes of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Lizzo are also included in this musical celebration.
