Big 5 Brass Quintet

Prepare to be spellbound as the Big 5 Brass Quintet, a distinguished chamber music ensemble comprised of five of Mzansi's preeminent brass players, graces the Eastern Cape with two spectacular concerts.

This ensemble, renowned for its remarkable versatility and artistry, is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of musical brilliance featuring compositions by composers such as Alexander Aratunian, Leonard Bernstein, Sonny Kompanek, Chick Corea, and a host of other musical luminaries.

The first concert takes place at the Amazwi South African Museum of Literature Auditorium in Makhanda on 2^nd October 18h00, and the second at the Nelson Mandela South Campus Auditorium in Gqeberha on 3^rd October at 19h00. 

Members of the ensemble include Brendan Kierman (Trumpet), Mike Magner (Trumpet), Eugene Kierman (French horn), Nick Green (trombone), George Foster (Tuba), and a guest appearance by percussionist Heinrich Lategan.
