Black Fathers Stand Up ZA is bringing you a second session around the discussions of absent fathers and present fathers.

After the first event's success, the team felt a need to organise another session where fathers can engage with professionals and be educated on the consequences of their absence in their children's development and their legal rights as parents. This event is taking place on 22 July at Tramways Building in Port Elizabeth, starting time is 2pm until 5pm.

Star Bhuti Mqokeleli Nyembezi will be the MC of the day, while Sebenzile DjSebz Zalabe will be facilitating the process. Our panel consists of Dr Estelle De Wit, a clinical Psychologist who will be engaging on the consequences of an absent father to a child's development and how it affects their lives. Joanne Anthony-Gooden, a Family lawyer will be educating fathers about their rights and giving legal advice to fathers who are denied access to their children. PoeticSoul Mahambehlala, a well known poet and human rights activist will be sharing stories about her upbringing with her dad also sharing about raising his children as a present father. Tsepiso Nzayo a well known comedian and IsiXhosa language activist will be sharing about his experience as a young present father. THIS EVENT IS FREE OF CHARGE!!
