The Evangelical Brass Band Association of Southern Africa will be staging its first brass band festival in the Feather Market Centre, Port Elizabeth on 26 September 2010. The association was formed a few years ago to promote and encourage brass band work in its member associations. The association currently consists of the brass band associations of four different churches in South Africa and Namibia. This is the first festival to be organised by EBBASA, and about 400 to 500 players from the differrent member associations are expected to participate in a massed band. This promises to be not only a wonderful musical experience, but also a wonderful opportunity for people from different churches and backgrounds to work together with the common goal of praising the Lord with their brass instruments.
