Comedy and Music stars Razzle at the Radisson

A mix of music and rambunctious comedy heads our way this weekend as Centrestage gets set to ‘Razzle at the Radisson’ hotel once more in the company of comedian and impersonator Danny Fisher, Latin American maestro and funnyman Eppie Angileri, PE’s balmiest and most unorthodox mariachi band and local favourite Gino Fabbri.

Friday 19th September sees the “Juan night only” debut of "Juan Direction", the 5 hander mariachi man-band with a difference, also featuring Hugo Kleinhans, Wayne Kallis and Andrew Warneke.

A crazy night of hot blooded Latin rhythms, terrible Mexican one-liners, general comedy mayhem, acoustic guitars, a kazoo and some other unexpected surprises awaits.

Saturday 20th September will feature a double bill of character delights as Gino Fabbri teams up with popular Durban-based entertainer Danny Fisher for The Rock n Roll Comedy Chameleon Madhouse!

A unique blend of comedy, cabaret and music sees popular rubber-faced comedian and vocalist extraordinaire Fisher performing offbeat impressions of famous stars from the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Meatloaf to Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Elvis.

He is joined by the equally unhinged comedy of Gino Fabbri who will present a mix of old favourites and some new rollercoaster segments in an old fashioned evening of hijinks which will have you rolling in the aisles!

Subtitled ‘For Sh*ts and Giggles’, the playful assortment of songs, sketches and naughty fun will be staged at the Radisson Hotel in a cabaret chairs around tables format.

This is a chance to enjoy a meal beforehand, then to let your hair down and be thoroughly entertained by a ‘whirlwind of unexpectedness’.

Danny Fisher is well known to PE audiences, having been a regular stalwart draw-card at ‘the Anchor’ whenever he visited PE in the early 2000’s. Danny then joined The Blarney Brothers with whom he toured SA for a long period.

His association with Centrestage continued when he fronted the Centrestage All-Star Band for the Elvis and Vegas hit extravaganza shows presented at the Boardwalk Amphitheatre.

This is the first time that Fabbri and Fisher will appear together comedically.
