Comedy is back by popular demand at The Boardwalk

Well known comedians Mel Miller, Dillan Oliphant and Vittorio Leonardi open the winter comedy season at The Boardwalk.
Mel Miller has been entertaining South Africans for years and this May. The stand-up comedian has “crossed the lines of age, culture and colour” for as long as his fans can remember. Successive generations continue to laugh out loud at his particular brand of humour.
Miller is a true veteran of comedy with his funny career dating back to the early sixties when he became a member of the folk singing group “Mel, Mel and Julian” which took him abroad, returning back to South Africa in 1970.
Dillan Oliphant – or as “the ma se kind from Eldos” – is a young exciting comedian who has a very laidback approach to keeping his audience entertained.
Oliphant is the winner of the Nandos Comedy Showdown 2010, and has been performing to full houses all over Gauteng.
His material is described as “dry but definitely not dull,” and is based on his everyday life.
Vittorio Leonardi is a self-styled “Italian born stallion who grew up on the streets of Welkom”.
In other words, nowhere near Italy.
He has performed with the Joe Parker’s Improv Express and The Starship Improvise for over nine years, and has given talks on comedy to Toastmasters South Africa and Mensa.
On Friday, May 31 in The Boardwalk Vodacom Amphitheatre, Port Elizabeth comedy fans will be entertained by three Stand-up comedians who promise to keep you on the edge of your seats all night.
