Concert Maron
MARON - Tour in South Africa
“When MALOYA from Reunion Island meets with Brasilian SAMBA, you get the MALAMBA... “
Born in Reunion Island, the French island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, MARON is
representative of the cultural melting pot resulting from the influence of several migration waves
from India, China, Europe and Southern Africa. Percussion teacher initiated to Samba rhythms during
his international trips, MARON develops his own music style: the MALAMBA.
This unique musical alliance defines the MARON’s identity. Looking into the heart of humanity at
large in order to understand its issues, MARON proposes brighter perspectives way through his very
positive and explosive songs.
His shows, always different and full of surprises, will take you into a whole range of modern
influences, solid rhythmic guitar and the backing vocalist’s soft voice. The overall is supported by the
swinging and catchy rhythms of the drums and the bass guitar.
From body percussions to "Malamba", during their workshop and their concerts, MARON and his
musicians will surprise you with their positive energy.
MUSIC: Malamba (Maloya & Samba) / Afro Pop.
