27 April 2010 - 08 May 2010
Hang on to your underpants…you guessed it – Centrestage is bringing Corne and Twakkie back out of their 2 year sabbatical to grace us with more irreverent, side-splitting antics during their mission to “save the world with mass doses of profound love”. Their soon-to-be riotous box office smash hit show, “The Shaving of the Golden Pig”, is coming to a caravan park near you! You’d better believe it, ‘cause it’s true! From the 4th – 8th May these maniacal comical anarchists will be taking up residence at Uptown Theatre (with a show on the 6th of May in Uitenhage’s Barkley Theatre). The gears of history are shuddering into motion once more as the irrepressible pair of half-wits will once again reshape the very core of our society, taking up their ubiquitous position at the pulpit of popular South African culture. From the cult SABC2 show T*M*A*S (The most amazing show), the irresistible character driven duo of Corne a.k.a “The Love Captain”, played by Louw Venter and the grand moustache wielding Twakkie, played by Rob Van Vuuren, combine clowning, witty semantics and the quirkiest sense of humour south of the equator to keep audiences screaming with laughter throughout their show. Armed only with their extremely funny new material, the duo are coming to town to entertain YOU LIVE! In the words of one TMAS fan, a certain Kierieman Loxton who witnessed the new show in Cape Town earlier this year said “its Flippen Brilliant, even More Brilliant than you never imagined they couldn’t’ even be”. 27 APRIL LAUNCH SHOW 19:30 R60 4 MAY 19:30 R60 5 MAY 19:30 R85 7 MAY 19:30 R85 8 MAY 19:30 R85 BOOKINGS @ COMPUTICKET
