Dance Seasons - Faded Dance Production hosted by Defying Gravity Dance Studio
Mandela Bay Theatre kicks off its Seasons programme with the first presentation of this year’s Dance Seasons to be hosted on the Mandela Bay Theatre’s Main Stage, at the Opera house. This Contemporary dance show that touches on different emotions, takes the audience on a journey as a young talented cast of 27 dancers from Gqeberha, create and experience through dance bringing to life the struggle to find the balance between standing out and fading into society. The production briefly touches on serious topics, that young women face daily and lets the audience explore these emotions as the cast moves and use dance to express themselves through the music, movement, and storytelling.
The Mandela Bay Theatre Complex, comprising the Opera House, the Barn and Stageworld Performing Arts School, is an agency of the Department of Sport Arts and Culture, supported by the Eastern Cape’s Department of Sport Recreation Arts and Culture and the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
