The ICT Summit is designed as a tool for business matchmaking sessions as well as creating a platform to discuss topical ICT issues. The Summit has succeeded in achieving this for five consecutive years in the Eastern Cape. The evolution of the Summit then came about when it was used as a platform in drafting the ICT Strategy for the Eastern Cape Province in 2008, after which it gave birth to the Eastern Cape Women in ICT Awards that have been running for two consecutive years in East London boasting speakers such as Dr Sibongile Muthwa, Director General, Eastern Cape Province and MEC Pemmy Majodina, Department of Public Works. Each year we strive to produce topics and themes that are of relevance and importance to both Public and Private Sectors in order to achieve maximum reach to the general public at large as it is part of our mission statement to raise a platform for discussion in order to improve the industry and introduce innovations in improving service delivery in the Province and ultimately, our country. Among our confirmed list of speakers we have National President of the Black IT Forum Mr Mdu Mkhonza and Executive Chairman of ZICO, Mr Sandile Zungu.
