Cheshire Homes Disabled, Mouth Painters
EPSAC Community Art Centre 36 Bird St Central
Opening Monday 24th May 17h30
Closing Saturday 29th May
EPSAC Gallery will be hosting an exhibition of watercolours, by four artists from Cheshire Homes. Marion Moira Cawood, Gladys Cloete, Daniel Mkele and Jackson Ndayisile Gqomo are all disabled artists who are permanently wheelchair bound.
Both Jackson and Daniel paint using their mouths to manipulate their paintbrushes in order to create their beautiful works of art. Daniel will be demonstrating this technique at the opening on Monday 24th May. The Exhibition, which will take place in the Upper Gallery, will be opened by Guest speaker Les Kirkland and will take place at 17h30.
Ian Shaw and Liz Glass of the Eastern Province Water Colour Society, have, with the help of other artists, been actively involved in the teaching of these wonderful and dynamic artists. Visitors to the Gallery will be treated to a feast of colour and creativity.
EPSAC would like to encourage everyone to view this unique exhibition.
