This exhibit celebrates the extensive contribution by world-renowned musicologist, Hugh Tracey, to the knowledge and preservation of traditional African music. The exhibition will be opened by retired director of ILAM, Professor Emeritus Andrew Tracey and the director of ILAM, Professor Diane Thram on Thursday 3 April 2014 at 17:30. Entertainment will be provided by local New Brighton Jazz Legends, Dudley Tito and Patrick Pasha along with a performance of traditional Xhosa dance by Imbumba Dance and Theatre Productions.
