EXPLORING THE ART OF THE EASTERN CAPE 1914 – 2013: WALKABOUT WITH PROFESSOR ROBERT BROOKS
On 26 June 2013, Professor Robert Brooks of Rhodes University will be conducting a walkabout of the exhibition Exploring the Art of the Eastern Cape 1914 – 2013 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum. The exhibition will look at which artists had the greatest influence on the art of the Eastern Cape and reflect on the trend-setters of the past and the innovators who are shaping the art of the future.
Professor Brooks will share his artistic insights and personal anecdotes about the exhibition and the development of an art scene in the Eastern Cape over the past century.
