Those wonderful youngsters from Pearson made R22 000 for us last year and now a whole new bunch are at it again! A double bill of Fawlty Towers (this time The Germans episode!) and The Good, The Bad and The Soapy, an award-winning play written by our own Barbara Woodhead, will be staged at the Pemads Little Theatre from 18 to 25 June, nightly at 7p.m., with a Sunday 19th Matinee at 3p.m. This production is a collaboration between Pemads, Animal Anti-Cruelty League and the Pearson High School Drama group and we hope to raise even more funds than last year for those who cannot speak for themselves! Do come along and enjoy an evening of complete relaxation and laughter at the affordable price of R40 per ticket! Tickets will be on sale at the Walmer Park Info Kiosk from tomorrow, Friday June 3rd and will also be on sale at the theatre prior to each performance. We are delighted to welcome back on stage two of our very hardworking animal-lovers - Liz Yates and Jandy Offerman, both doubling up as Germans and soapie stars! Look out for well-known and much acclaimed chameleon-performer, Reyn ffoulkes, as Basil Fawlty. Andrew Horne and Inge Wessels add some fun and games to the proceedings and I will be playing Sybil, with an adrenalin-change into Miss Gatsby and back again, twice! The productions are in the capable directorial hands of Jami Reynolds and Sharni Ngakane, both Pearson High School drama students and Caitlin Smith, who played the irascible deaf lady in last year's episode! Back in the role of his inimitable Manuel is Brendon Peel - both of whom received Showtime Junior awards for their roles last year. We look forward to seeing you at The Little Theatre. You will be treated to the entirely refurbished, glitzy new Athenaeum Building, which will enjoy its official opening with a wonderful Art Exhibiton on 16 and 17 June. Watch the press for details!
