GAU-TRAINED Book Reading
Author, performer and publisher, Selome Payne (better known as Flow Wellington), will soon be releasing her second collection called Gau-Trained. The book is a collective of poems and short stories telling of her experiences and people met since moving to Johannesburg in 2011. The content deals with abuse, loss, xenophobia, womanhood, depression, success and victory and other stories told from an external view point.
Before the official book tour kicks off in 2018, Flow will be hosting a series of fundraising sessions around the country. These sessions will be a sneak-peek preview of the book and also to raise funds towards the success of the tour. Flow brings her sneak-peek session to home town Port Elizabeth on Friday 22 September at the ArtEC Community Gallery in Bird Street Central. She will be collaborating her reading with guitarist, Christopher Williams.
Poets and acoustic musicians are welcome to bring one item to share the space.
Lovers of literature of all ages are invited to enjoy a relaxed and intimate evening of storytelling. The session starts at 18h30pm. More information: poetflow@live.com
