Once again, this is the annual GREAT opportunity for all local music lovers and holiday visitors to enjoy a varied selection of beautiful Christmas music in the impressive Feather Market Centre, on our grand organ, as performed by four organists, a virtuoso violinist, two sopranos and baritone, two pianists, a mixed choir and a mass choir.
The Christmas concert is always a pleasant family concert in aid of charity, with a programme full of variation and music which is easy to listen to.
* As organ solos, you will hear amongst others, the exciting Prelude sur un No?l and Il est ne by Denis Bedard, performed by the brilliant organist, Christiaan Carstens.
* The sopranos, Elsje Nelson and Terry-Ann Jullies, sing two lovely duets, Angel’s Carol by John Rutter and Gesu Bambino by Pietro Yon.
* Baritone, Paul Leonard, who recently was such a success in The Sound of Music, sings O Holy Night, White Christmas, The Lord’s Prayer by Malotte and Mary did you know?
* Virtuoso violinist, David Bester, will be heard in arrangements of Handel’s For unto us a child is born, Reger’s Maria Wiegenlied, the Ave Maria by Schubert and the beautiful Heimwee by S. le Roux Marais. All these musicians will be accompanied on the piano and organ by Erika Bothma, Hanlie Young and Albert Troskie.
* The well-known Jubelkoor from Jeffreys Bay, conducted by Annatjie Smit, sings four lovely songs, including Van de Water’s Heilige Nag and Whisper by Jay Althouse.
* Two carols will be performed as duets for piano and organ by Erika Bothma and Albert Troskie. They are the exciting Deck the Halls and the moving Schönster Herr Jesu.
* The concert includes audience singing, accompanied by Justin Stone, and will end on a high note with four great choral works: Masters in this Hall, Good King Wenceslas, the Lofsang van Maria by S. le Roux Marais and Psalm 117 by Johan van Eck.

The proceeds this year will go to Cerebral Palsy Eastern Cape. Please support this worthy cause! Affiliation forms will be available for new members wishing to join the FMOS for 2020 and CD’s will be on sale. This concert will last approximately 75 minutes.
