Idols winner Khaya to perform live at The Boardwalk

The Eastern Cape’s four finalists selected to go into the next round of the 2013 Idols will have the opportunity of performing live with Season Eight Idols winner, Khaya Mthethwa.
Khaya will be at The Boardwalk on Friday, March 15. He will be joined on stage by the top four PE Idols contestants: 20 year old Christina Williams, Thuba Myeju (22), Edward Allen (26) and Amanda Antony (19).
The contestants were selected from more than 100 hopefuls who lined up outside the Vodacom Amphitheatre on Monday, 25 February 2013.
Algoa FM, which convinced MNet to bring the Idols auditions back to the Eastern Cape, was once again able to influence MNet – this time to bring Khaya to the province before he starts his national tour on April 1.
“With the support of MNet we would not have been able to give the talented people here the opportunity to audition for Idols. We know that the city is not only eager to hear Khaya perform live but also eager to hear the voices who will represent them in Johannesburg”, says Dave Tiltmann, Managing Director of Algoa FM.
The show starts at 6.30 in the afternoon, and entrance is free.
