Jayson King Returns
Gypsy Latino is a seven-piece flamenco group in the style of the Gypsy Kings. Lead guitar player Deen Moss is recognised as one of SA’s top flamenco specialists.
The audience will be treated to hits like Volare, Bamboleo, Hotel California and Djobi Djoba, according to King.
The Queens will perform love and fun songs from the 60’s era right through to the present time covering the Jazz, R & B, Contemporary and Rock genres.
Jayson King will also be joined by Groove Kings, a four-part harmony group in the true style of the Temptations, Earth Wind and Fire and The Jackson Five.
They will also perform covers from One Direction, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber.
King will treat the audience to numbers such as Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Man without love,” Julio Eglesias’ “Amor, Amor’ Amor,” and Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable” and “You don’t have to say you love me” by Elvis Presley.
The Queens Ruth Knight, Sumaya Hendricks, and Christine Matthee, pay tribute to the likes of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Gloria Gaynor, Etta James, Celine Dion, Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Dreamgirls and The Pointer Sisters.
A newcomer to Jayson King production is Steve Ashley from Johannesburg, a former member of 60’s group Staccattos which was responsible for a 60’s hit “Cry to me”.
Hit Express will be at the Boardwalk Amphitheatre on May 29 and May 30 from 7.30 in the evening.
Tickets are R120 and are available from Computicket.
