KNOW YOUR BAY

Prof J. Adams, Chair in Shallow Water Ecosystems at the Nelson Mandela University, will be our honourable guest speaker for the next Know Your Bay at Bayworld Museum Tuesday 28th of May, from 17:30 for 18:00.

In her talk entitled “Present status of Swartkops Estuary and management challenges”, she will present some of the most recent research focusing on improving the estuary health for the delivery of multiple ecosystem services. It will cover a wide variety of aspects, from the level of pollution of the river, the efficiency of artificial wetlands to clean the river or the restoration of salt pans as waterbird habitat.
