The Nartjiefees is a wonderful family festival that is enjoyed by young and old! The safe atmosphere of the grounds is one of the things that makes this festival so popular, with the festival greeting 10 000 people last year! The festival’s live entertainment includes the likes of Nicholis Louw, Karlien Husselman, Pieter Smith and Jaycee Crause, while the master of ceremonies is Pedro Camara, known for his role as Carlos Perestrelo in “Sewende Laan” and Tony in “Egoli”. Style Models presents the Miss Nartjiefees competition, which consists of different age categories, while you can indulge yourself in as many nartjies as you can handle with the Nartjie Eating Competition! There are also plenty of stalls where you can buy fresh farm produce, sweet nartjies from the Gamtoos Valley, and products of excellent quality!

Loerie is about 60km away from Port Elizabeth. Note that no picnic baskets or alcoholic drinks are allowed on the festival terrain. There is a service at the church at 10h00 on Sunday.
