It’s all systems go for the sixth Mecer-NMMU Cycle Race that was postponed last month due to unsafe weather conditions. The 100-kilometre event, which takes riders on a scenic tour of Port Elizabeth and surrounds, gets underway at 7am on Sunday, November 20, from the Xerox-NMMU Stadium. A 45km race and short criterium events for children between the ages of two and 10 are some of the supporting events. Registration is from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, November 19, at the stadium clubhouse. Prize money and lucky draw prizes are up for grabs. Entry forms are available from cycle shops in PE or enter online at www.leisurecycletours.com.
