Crossways Regional Enduro 31March Round one of the 2012 Regional Eastern Province Enduro Championships takes place on Saturday 31 March at Crossways Farm Village. Conveniently located half way between Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay and only 500m from the Thornhill N2 turnoff, Crossways is an exciting new development located on 560ha of highly scenic farm land which includes a state of the art dairy farm. Organised by H-TEC (Humansdorp Trail and Enduro Club) under the auspices of MotorSport South Africa (MSA) the Crossways Regional Enduro is a largely new Enduro track that makes full use of the heavily forested and undulating land that Thornhill and Crossways is known for. Following a circular route and traversing through a number of private farmlands, the track can best be described as fast and windy with interesting river bed sections plus portions of downhill mountain bike tracks which Crossways has already developed in response to the growing number of mountain bike enthusiasts. According to Grant Comley from H-TEC who has overseen the design and preparation of the Crossways track; it will appeal to all riders who will find it challenging but highly enjoyable, given its exceptionally scenic location. As a newly formed Club based in Humansdorp, H-TEC would very much like to encourage both novice and experienced riders to take part in the Regional Enduros which they will be organising this year on behalf of MSA. With this in mind, Grant states that all the tracks that H-TEC will prepare for the 2012 season will prove to be fulfilling yet challenging rides and will test the skill levels of both novice and experienced riders. The general public is most welcome to come along and watch the Enduro on Saturday 31 March with free entry for everyone. The beautifully appointed indoor/outdoor restaurant at Crossways will be serving delicious country cuisine and will also be offering a wine tasting on the day to include wines from the Boschendal, Karusa and Southern Right wine estates.
