MY SPAR MTB CLASSIC

The race is being held at Zuurbron Farm on route to Hankey traveling from Humansdorp. Zuurbron is more famously known among mountain bikers as the last checkpoint of the Trans Baviaans 230km MTB race.

The route of the My Spar MTB Classic traverses the Zuurbron farm mostly by means of jeep tracks and farm roads. This year however, some exciting single track has been added. Don't be fooled by the route profile of this race, it's not as easy as it looks on paper. Even fit riders will have to conserve energy where possible in order to finish strong. The roads are taxing on your legs - even when you're not climbing (which there are enough of as well on this route). Also be on the lookout for the fynbos vegetation and the beautiful coastal scenery on this route.

The MTB classic is a day of adventure and fun, catering for the entire family. “There are various routes to suite all levels of fitness. The 60km challenge for the more experienced cyclist, the 40km race for those opting for a more recreational ride, or the 10km fun ride for the beginners. This year we have added a 10km farm fun run so now the whole family can partake.”

There will be food stalls to cater for the famished riders after their ride, jumping castles & face painting and loads of lucky draw prizes. Bring the entire family and share a wonderful day out at this beautiful venue.
