National Albinism Awareness Event

Albinism is a rare genetic condition that affects pigmentation in the skin, hair, and eyes. The day highlights the human rights challenges faced by people with albinism, including discrimination, social stigma, and health risks such as skin cancer and visual impairments. It also celebrates the achievements and resilience of individuals with albinism, promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
Bona uBuntu would like to invite your Grade 10 -12 learners to join us for a fun community walk to create awareness about learners living with albinism. This walk will conclude with a short gathering, where learners will get to hear from guest speakers, expert dermatologists and much more. This fun morning is designed to create more knowledge, understanding and support within the youth about people living with albinism.
