NMMU Welcoming Ceremony

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University's Welcoming Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 23 January 2016, starting at 09:00. This is for all first year students and their parents. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof D Swartz, will deliver a welcome address. This will be followed by the Faculty Meet and Greet from 10:00. Students will meet their respective Deans' and academic staff. The students will also get to see the campus and various facilities.

The following faculties will be situated in the Vodacom NMMU Indoor Sport Centre on South Campus:
- Business and Economic Sciences
- Education

The remaining faculties will have live video streaming, and will be situated as follows:
- Law: Lecture Hall 123, venue 0002, South Campus
- Science: Auditorium, South Campus
- Engineering, the Built Environment and Information Technology: Goldfields Auditorium, North Campus
- Arts: Auditorium, 2nd Avenue Campus
- Health Sciences: split as follows:
- Psychology and Social Development: Building 35 0040, South Campus
- Pharmacy & Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Support: Building 12 0288 and 12 0264/65, South Campus
- HMS, Sport Management and BSc Dietetics: Lecture Hall 123 venue 0026, South Campus
- Nursing: Conference Centre, North Campus
- Emergency Medical Care: Senate Hall, North Campus
- Biomedical Technology, Radiography and Environmental Health: N2, North Campus
