The show that turns music on its head! The Nuvo Retro Topsy Turvy Music Show - A breath of fresh air! Expect the unexpected as old classics are revamped and latest hits are given a whole new spin! A show for all ages - Glee fans will love it! The show promises to deliver a package of unusual surprises as musical styles, arrangements and time periods are turned on their heads. Imagine if the songs you have learned to love were suddenly transcended into completely different styles or were transformed into the fashion of an entirely different era? How would Elvis have sung the hits of today? ? What would Lady Gaga have sounded like if she was actually born in the fifties? What if rock n roll became jazz - pop became soul - boy-bands and girls-bands swapped identities? The Nuvo Retro Topsy Turvy Music Show examines these potentials in a swashbuckling mash-up of medleys as our modern song book is given a complete work-over and presented in a novel and highly entertaining light. Sixties rock n roll stylings will invigorate songs written fifty years later, whilst much loved Glee reinterpretations and American Idol and X Factor influenced rearrangements also lend a whole new feeling to songs we thought we knew so well. Also heading up the bandstand are big band arrangements and remixes made famous by the likes of Michael Buble, Paul Anka, Richard Cheese and others who have delighted in our nostalgic tendency to look back in time for inspiration for the new. The NRTT music show features a power packed line-up of much loved local Centrestage stars, including this year`s Showtime best actress award winner Donna Africa and the popular and suave Thuba Myeki. Escape heart throb Jace Bowren is also joined by blonde bombshell Tara-Jane Metzler, who returns to her home town after a stint in Cape Town. 18 year old Free State singing sensation Izzy Van Zyl makes a guest appearance on the show, filling the same role which saw Thuba Myeki being introduced to PE audiences for the first time!
