The Media Workshop - Open Day

The Media Workshop is a fully-accredited film and television production and journalism training provider (Provider Number: ACC/2013/02/633).

The Media Workshop provides screen content training, production and incubation services - the entire value chain required to grow a sustainable screen production industry.

The institution offers the following qualifications:

FET Certificate in Film and Television Production Operations (equivalent to a Grade12)
National Certificate in Film and Television Production NQF5 and the
National Certificate in Journalism NQF5

The above qualifications serves a number of functions. It provides the skills to make graduates employable at a junior level in the film and television industry, but can also serve as a bridging course into higher education for learners who do not achieve a bachelor’s pass in matric. We also encourage learners who are planning a “gap year” after matric to consider this programme as an option.
