"People of influence” Gala Dinner

The Varsity College first year Public Relations Students, together with the college's Student Liaison Body and community organisation VC Cares, will host "People of Influence", a Gala Dinner, at The Plantation in Port Elizabeth on the 19th October 2012.

The purpose of VC Cares is to create awareness and involve the wider student body in community projects with the aim of helping those less fortunate. The main focus is on social responsibility and empowerment. The students work with the Student Relations Manager to identify local charities and communities that will benefit from organized projects and fundraising activities.
The national beneficiary chosen for the Gala dinner is the Tutudesk campaign.

Guest speakersinclude Ms Buli G Ngomane, Mr Jaco Rademeyer and the current Miss South Africa, Melinda Bam.
