SAMREC Penguin release with acoustic tags

Rehabilitated penguins will be released from SAMREC (South African Marine Rehabilitation and Education Centre) at 9:00 on Saturday 12 April.
The birds will be the fitted with acoustic tags by Michelle Bradshaw from Bayworld - a world first in applying acoustic telemetry to penguins. Watch how the tag is attached and join in the excitement as the birds return to the sea, their "pingers" allowing us to record where they go.
