SA National Parks Week: Free Access for Day Visitors

During SA National Parks Week, South African citizens are invited to enjoy FREE access to participating national parks for day visits. This initiative encourages South Africans to explore and appreciate the country’s rich natural heritage while fostering a greater sense of pride and ownership.

Please note that free access does not include accommodation or other paid activities and experiences within the parks.

Visitors are required to present a valid South African ID or other acceptable identification at the entrance gate. Children must also provide valid identification to qualify for free entry.

Addo Elephant is the closest park to Nelson Mandela Bay:
- Main Camp Reception: 07h00 – 19h00 daily
- Matyholweni Reception: 07h00 – 17h00 daily (gates open until 18h30)
