Enduro-X was introduced by the Sardinia Bay Horse Riders Association (SBHRA) in 2009. It offers SBHRA Members the opportunity to experience riding in an “endurance type” competition in a unique environment. There's none of the pressure of being in the spotlight associated with other equestrian disciplines. It's just you and your horse out there, riding against the clock and the terrain.
These events offer our members the opportunity to learn about the sport and gradually increase their and their horse’s fitness over various types of terrain. The welfare of the horse is critical and the challenge is in preparing and managing your horse so they finish in the best possible condition and time. A veterinarian from the 9th Avenue Veterinary Practice will be on hand to monitor the horses welfare before and after the event.
The Start and Finish points are at the Pump Station House off Victoria Drive ~ the first horse & rider combination enters the field at 09h30. The event is expected to be completed by 12h30.
