Think candlelight, dancing shoes, champagne and a full orchestra – pure vintage pleasure, just like in the movies! In a first for the Bay, TwoTone Music is putting on the Ritz (so to speak) with ‘Shall we Dance’ on Saturday 12 February (8pm)at Summerwood Primary School in 2nd Avenue, Summerstrand. Lovers of good music, romantic décor and dancing will be delighted with this interactive show that features the TwoTone Show Band backed by the lush sounds of the Mandela Bay Symphonic Wind Orchestra under the baton of conductor Gareth Williams. Brand new arrangements of old and new music will be performed in a classy blend of Big Band Swing, Latin and Ballroom favourites, ballads and popular hits. Fronted by Ulagh Williams (piano and vocals) and crooner Iain McLaggan, the 40-odd piece orchestra will create the perfect backdrop for a Valentine’s date. The dress code is ‘vintage and vibey’ and patrons are invited to bring along their own canapés and drinks to treat their Valentine. Seating is limited and no tickets will be sold at the venue.
